1st clear on Karous on the Dreamcast port!
I am really happy to get my 1st ever MileStone clear! This can even count as my 1st ever Dreamcast shmup clear!
Karous is a shmup by MileStone in 2006 for the Sega NAOMI. This was the last officially licensed game for the Dreamcast. Altho, MileStone did release 2 more shmups on the NAOMI, which are Illvelo and Radirgy Noa.
Compared to Radirgy, Karous has a RPG-like level system. Depending on what weapon you use to kill enemies, each value will increase. When the weapon level gauge is full, it`ll level up. Upgrading a weapon level will also increase the ship`s level.
The D.F.S. is the bomb system which can provide protection. Filling up weapon level gauges can also refill the D.F.S. gauge.
You can also make an excuse of doing nothing on some bosses until they time out.
About the True Last Boss:
The TLB is only available in Hard mode, and to fight it, you must collect all 5 MileStone logos and beat the Stage 5 Boss before the time runs out.
