DoDonPachi DaiOuJou (Switch) - 1CC Arrange S B-S - ALL clear
1st clear on one of the Arrange modes of DaiOuJou Rinne Tensei on Switch!
10 janky deaths, but fine run. Most deaths were becuase I was desperately going for some speedkills.
It`s also my first time beating Hibachi on a DDP game!
DoDonPachi DaiOuJou is one of CAVE`s most appreciated shmups, being popular during it`s arcade release.
Rinne Tensei brings backs DaiOuJou White Label (which is Arcade mode), Black Label and DoDonPachi III.
Unfortunately, Tamashii was not included because that would be copyright issues with IGS (creators of the PGM system).
X-mode was not included either because that mode was developed by 5pb/MAGES, and Piper (the Hyper element doll) belongs to that company.
Aside from the classic versions, Rinne Tensei also introduces Super Easy, and Arrange modes. For Arrange, it is divided between S, L and EX versions.
Features in Arrange S:
*Based on Super Easy mode patterns.
*You're always in Hyper. (Pretty much a tribute to Piper from DaiOuJou eXtra`s X-mode.)
*Laser and bomber systems are disabled
*Shot is very strong but very narrow.
*Patterns get faster the more life stocks you have left (rank maxes out in stage 2 if you no-miss).
*You get lives from beating midbosses and bosses (max 20).
*Concentrating fire on certain medium and big enemies raises the Rinne gauge (not doing that lowers it).
*Destroying these specific enemies while the Rinne gauge is full makes them drop score items and increases the overall bee multiplier (also resets the gauge).
*Chaining system is disabled.
*No powerup items and you're always at full power.
*Bullet cancels actually kinda matter a little bit in this mode.
Still had fun with this mode. Definitely one of the best Christmas presents I`ve recieved this year.
