As luck would have it, one of the first asteroids we found was on a collision course with Kerbin, so all other activities are on hold until we can deal with this potential threat to the kerbals home planet.
It's a good thing we have some real high-tech hardware, because changing the course of an asteroid with a 10 day lead time is a herculean task.
