We've now got another couple of new characters to play with so since I'm trying everything I can to delay bringing out my own version of the Sumeru Archon Quest let's just jump right into this!
So first the usual suspects are still the same as ever. Kuki is still a good healer with an Electro Aura. But the team they provide to showcase her don't really do it for her. Sayu probably shouldn't be dealing with slimes since her abilities infuse her with the element present and slimes are immune to their own element. Still fun to plow through enemies though. Finally Venti is the same as ever. You put him against vacuumable enemies and he goes to work. But you need to plan out where to set that sucker up or it might not catch anything. And of course if it doesn't pick up the enemy it's basically useless. So you really need to have him on a good team.
Now as for the newbies well there's chatter that Cyno is difficult to use since his Burst lasts a long time while nothing can really last alongside it. So you have a good chunk of Electro-infusion but nothing that it can react to for its entire run. We'll likely have to wait on new characters for that. Also his skill seems to just be a Charged Attack with Electro so it could be useful as long as the repositioning doesn't get in the way. Finally Candace. I love her design. I love her lore. But her gameplay maybe not so much. She doesn't seem to really bring much to the table. She has that Beidou/Yun Jin skill where she shields to power up for a counterattack. But you won't really want to wait that long so likely you'll just pop the attack as soon as it finishes charging. And it's AoE isn't that spectacular. Similarly with her Burst there's other characters that can provide the Hydro infusion. Not sure how to really make use of her on a team.
Still satisfied I got her C2 already. She's gorgeous. Hopefully the same will happen with Dehya. Or hopefully better. I'd love to max her out even if I don't plan on using Claymore characters.
