546This honestly just came out of nowhere, trying hard to get the sub-16; I didn't quite think it would happen like this. A few mistakes early on, but the second half was probably my best ever. 15:40 next? I dunno, as I said at the end of the run, this'll be tough to beat.
Unlike the 4 boss run, the Bagel Brothers in this run were absolutely massacred, bringing the new IL WR from 2:28 to 2:30. That was made possible with perfect kills for all three heads, including no missed sword slashes on the bottom guy.
The score strat: this will only work if you end Secrets in the Rocks with less than 10,000 points to go before the next score-awarded extra life. In Beneath the Twisted Hills, while you wait for the cannon block chain to complete, you actually have enough time to open the nearest 10,000-point block, and make it back it to the flag with minimal time loss. This skips having an extra life be awarded and bounce around the screen for a few seconds during a score tally.
