Killing the Void Chelicerates in Subnautica: Below Zero (Survival Difficulty)
211Using my dead zone observatory's safety cage to kill all three void chelicerates with a prawn suit on survival difficulty. Curiously, slain void chelicerates do not respawn and once all three have been killed you can explore the dead zone without anything bothering you. Their hitboxes can be weird when against buildings as there's times I can hit them but they can't hit me. If I had not been set on killing one above my base so it could get stuck in the buildings (or if I had brought more gas torpedoes) this would have been faster.
There isn't much you can do to really have a straight up fight as they don't really back off so that you can repair unless you enter a safe spot and using buildings to separate them prevents your prawn suit from quickly being destroyed.
Afterwards I drove my seatruck towards the edge of the world to see what happens. When I streamed my initial kills I went to the edge with my seaglide and was teleported back but with a seatruck some weird stuff happens (leaving the seatruck teleported me back near my drop pod as before).
I assume like in Subnautica diving 8km also teleports you back to your drop pod though I only had enough resources on an initial try to get to 5300m (but with preparations using the seatruck and prawn suit you should be able to get down there on survival). There was ground around 2km down and then nothing over that edge.
