Kiln of the First Flame S26 Pt1 Let's Play Dark Souls No Shield
1Kiln of the first flame is the final area and contrary to what you might think can possibly be the most difficult area to traverse. Of course that's assuming you're in human form, and online. Kiln is one of the biggest of the pvp hotbeds and summoning is recommended only if you have extreme troubles with Gwyn.
There's not a whole lot of regular ai enemies here though, I think 5 black knights in all. If you find yourself dying to Gwyn a lot, you can run past them fairly easily except for the 3rd knight. Then you get to do some fancy rolling on a narrow ledge, it's doable just not good for stress levels.
You can also summon Solaire at the top of the stairs after the 3rd black knight if you saved him from going insane in Lost Izalith. If not, you have to open yourself up to invasions if you want help.
