Previously, the party returned to Olympus Coliseum. Hades has roped the exhausted Hercules into fighting in a competition called the Hades Cup. The Lord of the Dead is also using some sort of statue to control Auron and force him to take Hercules out. Sora and company must now go retrieve that statue from Hades' lair.

So, they head southwest to the Cave of the Dead: Entrance (time 0:46). From there, they continue on to the Cave of the Dead: Passage (time 1:23).

As they proceed, Goofy reaches Level 41 and gains a Strength boost (time 2:58).

The party heads on to the Cave of the Dead: Inner Chamber (time 3:05) and the Valley of the Dead (time 3:31). As they do, we cut to a scene with Auron and Hercules fighting in the arena. Meg and Phil look awfully worried.

Finally, the party heads into Hades' Chamber (time 4:59). Some strange vibrations happen when the party touches the statue of Auron, along with things Auron said in Final Fantasy X.

Unfortunately, some Dusks show up to cause some trouble for the party (time 5:56).

As the party fights them, Donald reaches Level 41 and gains boosts to Strength and Max AP (time 6:12).

After the player-guided fighting, the party receives some unexpected help (time 6:51). They have now obtained the Auron's Statue key item.

Afterwards, we rejoin the party at the Underworld Entrance (time 7:36). Sora drops off some materials with Mosh the Moogle (time 8:59). For gathering 25 or more Blazing Stones, the party gains the ability to buy them at the Moogle shop.

Then, Sora talks to Pain again to get into the Underdrome (time 9:55). Pain and Panic transport the party across Styx to the Underdrome.

Next, we join the action in the Underdrome's arena (time 10:29). The party has arrived just in time, it seems. And Hades is most displeased. He pulls a typically nasty, villainous stunt to get Herc out of his flaming hair.

Afterwards, Auron returns to the party (time 13:09). If only we could use him on other worlds. He needs his abilities re-equipped. Fire damage mitigation is a definite consideration for the coming battle.

It is then time to face Hades, the Lord of the Dead (time 13:59). One minor problem, though: he is invincible.

After Sora takes some damage, another scene plays (time 14:28). See that, Hades? Actions have consequences! I just love his line at the end of the scene.

Then, it will be time to fight him for real (time 15:39). Hercules will be around to help. Hades is invincible when he is red. He will make himself red again whenever he conjures a pillar of flame around himself. The Aura Guard command is an interesting way to block damage. Hercules' Aura Spheres are required to remove Hades' invincibility. They are also a great way to deal ranged damage to him.

Late in the battle, Hades will also put a massive fireball overhead to rain fire down on the battlefield. It will leave flaming pools on the floor.

At the end of the battle, Sora reaches Bonus Level 38 (time 20:29). Sora gains a Max HP boost and learns Magnet Burst. Donald gains an accessory slot. Goofy gains a Max HP boost.

Afterwards, it appears Hades will be indisposed in the Underworld for quite a while (time 20:45).

The party then chats with Auron in the Underworld Entrance (time 21:19). Heh! He's so literal. Sora gets the Guardian Soul keychain. Geared toward Strength, it boosts reaction command damage.

Next, the party finds Hercules, Megara, and Philoctetes out by the entrance to the real coliseum (time 22:42). The party has a bit of fun with Phil. That's it for the story events in Olympus Coliseum. Of course, there is plenty of cup mayhem for Sora to suffer through.

The player earns the trophy "Hail the Hero" for completing the story here (time 25:10). As they arrive in the Gummi Ship, a new episode is added at Olympus Coliseum because a new cup is available. Wa-hoo.

The party lands at the Underworld Entrance to go over their gains from beating up Hades (time 25:32).
