Maybe, we really did have it better then we thought back then. Another game deep from my library here, this time a release by no other then PlayStation Studios themselves who wanted to show the PS4 wouldn't just be launching with FPS games, and surprisingly, was envisioned as a Crash Bandicoot like game. Knack was given a release in North America on November 15th 2013, November the 29th 2013 in Europe, Japan getting a port on February 22nd 2014.

Knack is a Beat'em up platformer, with a heavy emphasis on its story: With humankind advancing in technology and the discovery of relics that change lives, Dr Vargas of the group we meet has what is called Knack, its a living organism who grows in size when it collects relics, but can change size at will, Goblins are attacking human outposts, but its clear theres also...a lot more going on.

For being 12 years old and one of the PS4's launch titles, Knack has aged a bit poorly and yet maintains a lot of DNA of what made Crash Bandicoot what it is: Knack takes a bit of learning as enemies can kill you in 1 or 2 hits and the dash/dodge mechanic is needed, Knack's attacks include punches, air attacks and when crystals are picked up, high damage attacks. Knack also has a ability to Move between smaller areas automatically, Knack's lack of checkpoints was annoying as fuck but, Its a ok game. At some point, I'll go over it 2017 sequel
