In this video, I'm doing a playthrough of a game that I never heard before, until I saw a video from my friend: SpiderMwa. That game is: Knuckle Bash for the Arcade. This game was developed by Toaplan and published by Atari, it was only released in the arcade in 1993. Knuckle Bash is a side-scrolling beat 'em up game that resembles to Capcom's Final Fight, which many beat 'em ups would resemble for some time. Unlike that game, the stages of Knuckle Bash chiefly consist of various "scenarios" of single or few strong boss-like enemies, instead of the typical long series of weaker enemies with a boss at the end of the stage. It also completely lacks weapons or objects of any sort. The game's story concerns a trio of "wrestling heroes" who oppose the villainous "Mad Bull Group", to save the sport of pro wrestling. Players initially choose from three characters; two more are "rescued" through gameplay and any of the five can be switched to between "missions". The three characters that you can choose are: Michael Sobut (An Elvis Presley lookalike) El Plancha (A luchador) and Jack Brow. The two characters if you defeat them in a fight are: Mr. Hayate (A ninja, master of the "Ninpow" art) and Captain (An American football player who defects from the Mad Bulls). There are two potential missions to choose from although both must be completed. In the first option you must first head to Hong Kong in order to find Hayate, a master of Ninpow, and convince him to join you. The other heads to the Mad Bulls Group's headquarters, Battle Kingdom, where you can recruit Kyaputeso. For this playthrough: I'm going to play the first option. Ultimately you must head to the Mad Bulls Group's secret lair and defeat their leader. There's also a bonus mini-game in between some of the stages where you must mash an attack button in order to knock out the other player. The winner of the mini-game receives bonus health. Overall, Knuckle Bash is a pretty fun game, if you like some beat 'em ups in general. I hope you enjoy this playthrough of Knuckle Bash for the Arcade and thanks for watching!
