Krazy Ivan is a sci-fi first-person shooter video game developed by Psygnosis and published by Sony Imagesoft for the Sega Saturn in 1996. The game is set in the future, where players control a giant mechanical walking tank called the Ivan-13, which is armed with a variety of weapons.
The gameplay is focused on combat, with players engaging in battles against various enemies, including other giant walking tanks, robotic drones, and ground-based turrets. The game also features a variety of power-ups and upgrades that players can use to enhance their weapons and armour.
The game's graphics are 3D and feature detailed environments and enemy designs. The game also features a unique control scheme, where players use a joystick to control the movement of the Ivan-13 and a light gun peripheral to aim and shoot.

Review:

This is a surprisingly good game. Just a simple mech game but one of the first. The draw distance is really short so you have to come in close to get the enemies or even the mountains in view. There are no fog effects here to hide the lack of background. The movement is silky smooth to compensate so you can traverse the land really quickly and also dodge enemy attacks easily.
The gameplay is split between 5 short stages so it only takes just over an hour to beat. Each level consists of normal enemies can and boss enemies. The normal enemies can be defeated easily and spawn indefinitely. They can be ignored though unless you want to get some ammo refills or collect energy units to upgrade your mech. There are 2-5 bosses per stage which must be defeated before you tackle the shield generator at the end. They are pretty quick if you just concentrate on heading towards them on the radar.
There are a lot of weapons the use. And you can keep purchasing more in between levels so you can really pile on the amount by the end and have some really powerful weapons that mash the bosses.
The cut scenes are fun too with some questionable acting and humour, but good fun to watch. I thought the soviet woman had a very strange way of doing facial expressions at her dialogue parts but in the end, I fell in love with her.
This was a fun game and well worth a short blast to the end.
