From a live stream - I abused the new mission editor to control the rocket and launch a spacecraft into orbit. The mission editor can activate stages, measure altitude and time so by setting up the right launch conditions a vessel can be placed into a stable orbit. Although it took a few 'simulations' to make it work :)
