This is the 7th part of my La-Mulana stream. Yes, I've not abandoned this, was just on holiday for a bit with my lovely lady. But now, I'm back, so the show can continue.

Anyway, when we last left off, we were left with a lot of options to explore. My first main step was to go to the Inferno Cavern, where there was an area I'd not been to, protected by a lot of flame jets in a falling corridor, which needed the Grapple Claw and some skill in order to reach. Unfortunately, it seems I lack the latter, so it took several attempts to reach.

There was a miniboss on the other side, I'm guessing Pazuzu going by the clues in that area, which when beaten gave me a puzzle in order to reach the Chain Whip. Now my whip attacks do more damage, so I'm definitely pleased the effort paid off.

Floating around the Tower of Ruin, I manage to explore a bit more, solving puzzles which lead to the Earth Spear. This sub-weapon attacks downwards, which is necessary for solving puzzles, and actually helped to lead to the boss of the Inferno Cavern, Viy. I don't manage to beat Viy in this episode, but I'm sure I will before long. I also get a piece of software here that can examine background images with the Hand Scanner, which will be useful for some puzzles later on.

Later on, I cheese the game a bit by accessing an area I'm not supposed to yet, the Tower of the Goddess. In order to do that, I use a key fairy to open the Gate of Time, which is a throwback level celebrating the original version of La-Mulana. The La-Mulana software is there, which I get first, then I open the Tower of the Goddess through the 8-bit Mausoleum of the Giants shortcut. The area starts off dark until you reach the entrance area, so I proceed there first.

After a little floundering, I do some puzzle solving in the Tower of the Goddess, releasing some of the water from the Spring in the Sky to that area and operating some of the mechanisms in the tower. I collect the Eye of Truth, which allows me to see invisible enemies, and the Plane Model which will be used for an upcoming boss fight. There's also the Spaulder item, which gives all main weapon attacks a holy aura, improving their attack range (and damage? not sure).

The Tower of the Goddess seems to lead off to new areas, so I'll be exploring those next, and will persevere with Viy and Zu (the timestop miniboss in the Twin Labyrinth) to see if I can finally beat them. Zu unlocks the TL's Ankh Jewel so I'll certainly need to do that, and Viy is one of the guardians so that's also essential.

This part is split into two videos because my stream got interrupted for a moment, part 6 and 7 are essentially two parts of the same stream.
