week three of large prime numbers' continued experimentations with stretching the hell out of this musical vocabulary of ours, which has been stunted terrifyingly as of late with the loss of my whammy power adapter and the absolute lack of whammy power adapters in the entire nation of japan. they (digitech) say the US one "won't work in japan" -- even though it WAS working, for like a YEAR, before i left it in our studio and the bastards claimed it as their property and then gave me an uber-evil eye when i joked about asking to rent it next time and then maybe accidentally misplacing it and being forced to pay the full cost -- anyway, it's a real pain in the neck.

this is us covering a blue hearts song in "the style of early alternative rock". or, that was the idea right before i started playing. maybe the exuberance of zak's "ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!" infected me a little bit and lifted some of the desired melancholy. whatever. i realize upon watching this video that the guitar volume is a little low. this is before we popped mad delay on the PA as well. with some underwater-like tunnel reverb and a more sonic-youthy tempo, maybe this could be a good live piece.

anyway, this is seriously the first time i ever tried to play this song! it's an easy song, anyway.

the solo part could, uhm, really use some whammy. :(

did you know: i got my whammy for $100 in the US.

in japan, a whammy costs $500.

huh.
