"please stop not loving me" demo #2
this is almost a real song!
give it a little time.
THINGS I LIKE:
1. the bossa nova beat!
2. the twinkly sparkly sound at 0:33
3. the AMAZING MICRO-BREAK at 0:46
4. the rolling start immediately after said break
5. the minimalist breakdown at 3:27
6. the rebirth of the intro, the IDEA of the b-melody
7. the little explosion at the end, the tiny break within, and the synchronized final chord/slam
8. the overall use of delay; very tremolo / chorus-y, just how i like it.
THINGS I DON'T LIKE
1. the vocal volume is WAY TOO FUCKING HIGH (the vocal volume wasn't the only thing that was way too fucking high in this session btw)
2. the guitar volume is WAY TOO FUCKING LOW (the guitar volume wasn't the only thing that was way too fucking low in this session btw)
THINGS TO IMPROVE:
1. a little more vocal yelping at the bridge (3:04-)
2. better guitar tone -- i think the whole song should be done clean, actually; it just needs to be a bitchingly reined-in clean tone
EQUIPMENT YET TO BE PURCHASED:
1. compressor :-/
i think i want an EH Black Finger or an MXR Dyna-Comp, either of which are kinda too expensive for a pedal that i couldn't easily explain the purpose of to my mother in less than one paragraph
2. boss POWER DRIVER -- it's got one knob marked "muscle" and another marked "fat"!
