Today we place down all the blocks for the entire floor of the first level, using some smooth quartz for the final section of the floor! The quartz had to be bought from our villagers all the way back at the mountain base! We also build up the walls of the room with the spiral staircase!

Starting the episode, we pick up our shears to collect some honeycomb! We swim over to the spruce tree to cut it down for wood. Then, we pick up some smooth stone to form a border between the andesite floor and the spiral staircase room! We use spruce wood for the floor beneath the spiral staircase.

With the rest of the spruce wood, we fill in the floor behind the axolotl viewing window! We only place down spruce wood up to the deepslate pillar, as we want to use a different material for the rest of the floor. We fly up to take a look at the floor of the base from above!

Swimming into the ocean to pick up some sticks and saplings, we store our items in the chests before sleeping for the night! In the morning, we plant down more saplings before beginning on our journey back to the mountain base!

We decide to go all the way to the spawn point to pick up some raw chicken and feathers for trading! Heading down into the refugee shelter, we sell some items to the villagers and buy the quartz that we were looking for. We also stock up on lanterns which are a pretty source of light!

At the mountain base, we also take the opportunity to get more golden carrots and firework rockets, which are supplies that would be hard to come by otherwise! Once we have all our items, we take off and fly towards the 1.17 area. When we reach the plains, the sun is setting so we put our bed down to sleep!

We place some quartz in the furnace to smelt into smooth quartz! Then, we craft some bone blocks to form a border for the quartz floor. While waiting for the quartz, we also harvest some glow berries! Looking at the spiral staircase, we start to build a wall of birch logs to enclose it.

In order to allow light into the stairwell, we leave some space between the columns of birch logs! We also strip them of their bark to match the design of the rest of the base. For more birch wood, we chop down the trees that we were growing along the coast!

Afterwards, we craft some stained glass to fill in the spaces between the birch logs! We also shear the sheep for some wool that we place on the ends of the glass windows. Back at the storage chests, we pick up some saplings from the ground and collect the smooth quartz from the furnaces!

Using the smooth quartz, we complete the rest of the floor for the first level of the base! We fly up to take a look at the floor design. Then, we craft some spruce trapdoors to form some protective barriers around the edge of the balcony where it overlooks the spiral staircase!

We are running a little low on spruce wood, with less than a stack left in our chests! Luckily for us, the spruce saplings that we had planted at the start of the episode have already grown! As the sun is setting, we fly over to the tree to cut it down.

At the beach, we place down a few sand blocks to make the coastline look smoother! Then, we pick up the logs floating in the water and plant down more spruce saplings. To hide the floor of the balcony at the top of the birch wood pillars, we craft some cut copper stairs and slabs!

We also try to cover up all the white wool blocks so they cannot be seen from the side! Since we have one extra copper slab, we decide to replace the weathered cut copper slab over our front door. We are still missing an oxidised slab for our collection, so we leave the slab on the ground before ending the episode!
