While working on the spawning floors, we decide to activate all the redstone clocks and start up the mob farm to test it out! It seems to work like a charm, and we manage to follow a zombie as it gets sent up to the surface before it converts into a drowned. We build the fifth spawning floor for the farm!

Picking up some redstone from the chests, we craft the stone bricks for the fourth spawning floor! We cover the waterlogged trapdoors before placing more trapdoors over the stone bricks as it helps to stop spiders from climbing the walls!

Then, we place down the smooth stone for the fifth spawning floor! Afterwards, we return to the front of the deepslate base where we harvest some cactus for green dye. We also cut down a tall spruce tree! As usual, some hostile drowned have spawned in the ocean and we take them out.

At our chests, we craft a few torches and collect the dried kelp! We also smelt the cactus in the furnaces. The sun is setting and it is time for us to sleep, but first we plant down the spruce saplings! In the morning, we snip the honeycomb out of the beehives!

After collecting our green dye, we harvest some wheat! We dye a sheep green and breed it with another to get a lime-coloured baby sheep. The different shades of green wool could be used to decorate the mob farm! We also breed a white and a black sheep for a grey one!

Retrieving a pair of shears, we collect our first blocks of green wool at the deepslate base! We also notice that the spruce tree has already grown. That was fast! We chop it down and use the wood to craft more trapdoors!

Crafting a stack of light grey stained glass, we swim over to plant the spruce saplings again! Hearing clangs in the water, we slay more drowned before returning to the mob farm construction. We make a short trip back to the chests as we realised that we had forgotten to get some fence gates!

We place the fence gates at the centre hole of the fifth spawning floor! Then, we add some redstone torches to bring the current up from the third floor. Heading down to the collection chamber, we place some sea lanterns below the drop shafts!

To ensure that mobs cannot escape once they have fallen to the collection chamber, we build some glass walls around the shafts, leaving a small gap for us to swing our sword! For the spider drop shaft, we fly over to the deepslate base to craft some trapdoors, as they can escape through a one block-high gap!

After switching on all the redstone circuits, we try to fly out to the surface but get trapped behind some blocks on the third floor! The sky is turning dark so we place down our bed to sleep. In the morning, we spend three rockets to try and escape again!

The water is flowing periodically on alternate floors, as expected! To allow mobs to spawn, we fly up even higher as there is a radius around the player where mobs cannot spawn! Landing down on the fifth floor again, we hear a spider and a skeleton shoots at us from below!

Looks like the farm is working beautifully! We head to the collection chamber and quickly place the oak trapdoors on the underside of the spider drop shaft to prevent spiders from escaping! Already, we see some string on the platform of smooth stone.

Some skeletons have also gathered in the room! We smack them with our fist and are glad to see that they die in one hit. Next, we want to check that the drowned conversion system works! We fly out of the farm again to encourage more mobs to spawn.

Idling around the farm, we wait for zombies to spawn! We head down to the collection chamber but there are no signs of any hostile mobs! Flying out again, we decide to switch off the farm and try again some other time!

While switching off the sorting system, we are surprised to hear a zombie! We decide to leave the clock on for a while longer in case the zombie has not been pushed by the pistons yet. Eventually, we fly up to the surface and watch as our precious zombie turns into a drowned!

I guess we got to test the conversion system after all! We follow the zombie down into the collection chamber and wait for it to arrive as it falls through the cobweb. It doesn't drop any copper, but we are just very glad that the farm works!

Returning to the spawning floors, we continue the construction of the flushing mechanism for the fifth floor! We place down torches on the walls before covering up the redstone wiring of the fourth floor. Then, we place down our trapdoors!

Somehow, we manage to place half of the trapdoors in the wrong locations! To err is human, as the famous saying goes! We fill up the water channel before sleeping for the night.

The next day, we craft some redstone repeaters and place down the redstone wiring! Actually, we should also do a test of the flushing mechanism just in case! We will have to remember to do that tomorrow.
