Paint Bucket Tool
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The Paint Bucket tool allows for quick and easy color fills for a photo or for graphic design. It can prove useful for filling in backgrounds or for previously created selections.
1. To access this tool, click on the button in the tool bar that looks like a paint bucket. You can also press G on the keyboard to call up the tool.2. To create a Paint Bucket fill, simply click on a desired area in your canvas. This Paint Bucket will fill the area with the color you have chosen in your color pallet to the best of its ability based on the colors and patterns it detects.3. In the top Options panel you have a few choices related to customizing your Paint Bucket.
* The left button will have Pattern Templates that allow you to fill the selection in with a pattern rather than a color.
* The Foreground tab allows you to choose between filling your selection in with a color or a pattern.
* Opacity determines the transparency of your fill to the picture.
* Tolerance will determine how much of your picture will get filled in with your color or pattern. The higher the Tolerance, the more your picture will be filled.
* Anti-Alias will determine if the fill you create uses smooth pixels or more jagged pixels.
* Contiguous will create your fill based on the similarity of pixel shade in color.
* The All Layers option will allow you to make fills based on how many layers your image has.
You can use this tool for all kinds of reasons as it can have use for both practical and design purposes. Feel free to experiment.
