Learn how to create An AWS EC2 Instance From Scratch - Amazon Web Services
0Let's create our own EC2 instance using the AWS web console and we'll use SSH to access the instance once it is created.
AWS EC2 instances form the computing backbone of Amazon's cloud. An EC2 is effectively a virtual machine that lives in the Amazon cloud with an operating system built-in.
EC2s are comprised of many things, the primary of which being an AMI or Amazon Machine Imagine. The AMI is effectively the operating system and whatever software and applications required to operate on an EC2.
In this video, we also briefly covered Security Groups. Whatever you do, make sure port 22 is NOT opened to 0.0.0.0.
