How do the AMDGPU-Pro drivers fair on Ubuntu 16.04? Not great. At least with version 16.60 anyway.

The AMDGPU-Pro drivers seem to have suffered some massive regressions when compared with the previous Pro drivers, 16.50. For example, 3D acceleration in VMware no longer works at all.

Several games have severe graphics glitches and other games won't work at all. And of course, everyone knows that AMD drivers have notoriously low framerates on most graphically intensive games.

My advice - stay away from these drivers. If you are looking for stable Pro drivers, stick with 16.50.
