Mahalo Windows expert Sean Hewitt gives a tutorial on the screen saver for Windows 7.

Screen savers are designed to save your screen because when you have a single image on for a prolonged period of time, it can be burned permanently on your screen. To use your Windows 7 screen saver:

1. Right-click on your desktop. Click on Personalize at the bottom of the menu then click the Screen Saver icon in the bottom right corner.
2. Click the drop-down menu, and you will find a variety of different screen savers to choose from. For example, 3D text will allow you to write whatever you would like to have float around your screen. Click the Settings button to specify the text you would like within the field next to Custom text.
3. You can also choose a slideshow using your own photos. Click the Photos option followed by the Settings button. By clicking the drop-down menu, you can determine how fast the photos change.
4. You can determine how long it takes for your computer to be idle before the screen saver is activated. To do this, just increase or decrease the minutes by clicking the up and down arrows next to Wait.
