PREVIOUSLY:
Vahn and his friends return to Sol. They enter the building's Jazz Club and requests the pianist to play the Music Score from Cara. Grantes recognizes the piece and Noa tells him about the now Mist-free Buma. He is awakened by Gala's lecture about his cowardice and irresponsibility before leaving to seek forgiveness from Cara.

The trio soon follows after Grantes to Buma and finds the two lovers already reconciled. Cara and Grantes thanks them for their honorable deeds and tells them the story about Grantes being a Soren which violated his land's laws for Cara, hence his excommunication. He also reveals about how Zora tricked him into pilfering the town's Ra-Seru Eggs in exchange for giving back his wings. Now accepting his life as a surface-dweller, the former Soren gives them the Soren Flute, which they can use to summon Sorens in Mt. Dhini.

Possessing the Soren Flute, the Ra-Seru heroes manage to pass through the Birdman Gate, and climb atop the sacred mountain of the Soren. A group of Soren lead by Luctes arrives after Vahn plays the flute. After a brief conversation, Luctes allows them to meet with their elder.

The party gets carried to the Soren Camp. There they meet with the elder Cructes, who promises the Soren's support in the fight against the Mist and its henchmen before asking Luctes to take them to the Floating Castle.
