PREVIOUSLY:
After the battle against Gaza, Songi appears from a portal riding atop a floating Seru. He takes an interest with the master swordsman and vows to heal his severely injured body into top form before taking his leave, carrying Gaza with him.
Following the words of Master Deez regarding the former emperor's phophecy, Vahn, Noa, and Gala make their way back to the Mist-filled lower levels of the building. Along the way, they find 8 mysterious treasure chests. Upon opening each chest, it requests a Soru Bread in return for the treasures they hold, to which Vahn obliges. After all 8 treasure chests are fed, a mechanism in the building's Control Room activates, projecting a hologram of a scientist named Dr. Usha.
Dr. Usha reveals that he has set up a defense mechanism to protect Warrior's Square from the Mist's henchmen, and has been waiting for a long time for the heroes that could revive the Genesis Tree and repel the Mist. He unblocks the pathway to the underground levels before the projection ends.
The heroes make their way down to Warrior's Square, where they solve a puzzle in order to remove the walls covering the Square's center. Before they could set the Genesis Tree Seedling however, Songi once again appears before them, now with a rejuvenated but possessed Gaza. Songi equips Gaza with a custom Sim-Seru before leaving them to fight. The party reluctantly engages the master swordsman in a battle, and once again triumphs against him.
Defeated, the Sim-Seru separates from the weakened Gaza, and shatters in the air. Noa asks Terra what they could do to save Gaza, to which the Ra-Seru suggests that he becomes one with the Genesis Tree Seedling, and uses his spirit to become the protector of Sol, to which Gaza happily accepts. He holds on to the Seedling, with his spirit flowing inside it, along with the Ra-Seru powers from the Vahn and the others, the Seedling grows into a mature Genesis Tree, repelling the Mist within the building in the process.
Upon returning to the upper levels, Emperor of Sol, Emperor Etora VIII thanks the heroes for their noble acts. He relays to them a message left by Dr. Usha for them before entrusting them the mission of destroying the Floating Castle.
