PREVIOUSLY:
Vahn, Noa, and Gala make it to the Floating Castle with the help of the Soren. They defeat a number of castle guards before arriving at the throne room. There they are met by Zora, the queen of the fort. The heroes demand answers regarding the whereabouts of the Ra-Seru Eggs she got from Grantes, to which Zora promises to answer only if they can defeat her.

The two sides engage in a fight, with the heroes coming out on top. The overlord of the castle reveals that the Ra-Seru Eggs are no more as they were used as components in creating the Mist Generators, to which Ozma reaffirms that the generators are indeed made by Ra-Seru and Ra-Seru Eggs.

Meanwhile, Songi enters the room to prevent Zora from spilling any information regarding their plans. He goes on ahead to the machine room and proceeds to destroy the castle's Mist Generator, to the heroes' surprise. He reveals that the castle was all a setup to lure them in. He annihilates Zora himself before leaving Vahn and the others as the Floating Castle goes into free fall with the destruction of its engine.

With no time to waste, the party rushes to the castle entrance, but the Soren are nowhere to be found. The castle starts collapsing, the entrance bridge disconnects with the castle and the trio starts plummeting down to the waters below. A few feet away from ground level, they are rescued by Luctes and his companions, who hid and watched from afar after Zora arrives at the castle earlier.
