In todays build we are back to building Harry Potter. Today we have chosen to review the new 2023 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds set #76419, with 2,660 pieces. Before we dive too deep in todays build, we begin with our four Lego advent calendars (Harry Potter, Marvel, and 2022 & 2023 Star Wars) for the 15th and 16th days of Christmas. This build comes to us after a year of deciding whether or not to build the larger Hogwarts Castle. After months of indecision, it seems Lego has made our decision for us, by releasing this set in September. Unboxing this set we find 22 bags, 2 books, and no stickers. This set does contain an upward of 30 printed elements, which is a nice surprise, considering how Lego uses stickers on Harry Potter sets. The build did take around 8 hours, and was tedious. The tedious nature of these small but larger builds is why we skipped the time lapse in todays video. Reviewing the set we start off on the ground portion of the build and look at some nice detail as well as nods to the series like the Womping Willow and Ford Angelina. There is also a whole unground level detailing the Chamber of Secrets, and the chess game from the Chamber of Secrets. Going up we can see in micro details things such as the main hall, walkways, and certain towers being put in. I really didn’t mind the set. It was an okay build for it being what it is.
