In todays build we are taking on a build I never thought I would be able to do. This is the first new Lego release I can remember back in 2020. I really desired this set, and it was very hard to resist it. In the end, I resisted it, and took care of my family during those trying times. The build we are building in the Lego Nintendo Entertainment System set #71374, with 2,646 pieces. Before we dive too deep in todays build, we begin with our four Lego advent calendars (Harry Potter, Marvel, and 2022 & 2023 Star Wars) for the 9th and 10th days of Christmas. This build features a console, game, controller, and an interactive tv. The console is scaled down, and can actually take the game cartridge. The tv has a rotating display of Super Mario Bros. Unboxing the set we find 21 bags, 2 books, and a sticker sheet. The first book builds the console, games and controller. Second book builds the tv unit with the rotating display. The build was super enjoyable and was done in a single day. I can easily build 3k in a day, but some builds make it less desirable to do so. Reviewing this set we begin to see the excellent detail in the venting, hook up jacks, functioning game cartridge, and a hidden game display from the Mario game. The game cartridge takes sticker elements, but it is made to fit perfectly in the console. The controller feels a bit big, and does not feature any functioning buttons like the console. The tv is the really cool part of this set. It uses technic components to make the screen go around, but it also takes a lot of system bricks to detail the screen. The tv is cute and quirky with printed detailing that says Lo-Tech. The last sticker goes on the back of the tv and features a lot of easter egg numbers. This build was super fun, and I definitely recommend this build. 2x Insiders points weekend is her, and this would be a perfect set to claim some points!
