The Amiga and its Agnus chip could do some amazing raster effects. One subprocessor of the Agnus was called Copper. It allowed for interesting, fluid animation of horizontal and vertical bars, so called copper bars. The C64 and many other machines supported similar effects through trickery. The PC with it's VGA card has a similar capability. Today I want to show you how to program the classic Copper or Raster Bar effect.
