The Mega EverDrive X3 (and it's bigger brothers X5 and X7) allow you to run arbitrary ROM images on your Sega MegaDrive or Sega Genesis. This is great for demo scene productions or homebrew and also for less legal things... The EverDrive is a de facto standard, but also quite pricey. The X3 starting at 60 EUR. There are also cheaper, Chinese knock offs, for around 20 EUR. How do they compare? What are the advantages and disadvantages?
