Let's Experience Torchlight 2 Episode 8: Trying ALL the classes.
To sum it up:
Embermage = Apply elements correctly while throwing every-which spell everywhere.
Engineer = Tank / Summoner. Focusses on few hits with maximum damage.
Berserker = Quick hitter. Mainly about mauling things to death quickly.
Outlander = Sustained combat, where length increases efficiency.
Subclasses:
Embermage:
- Inferno = Damage and death! Also, very easy to use.
- Forst = Mostly about covering ground. Easy to control.
- Storm = Chaotic and homing, very potent though.
Engineer:
- Blitz = Melee attacks, all about making a big, slow mess.
- Construct = Summon and cannons.
- Aegis = SHIELD. Enough said.
Berserker:
- Hunter = Melee moves.
- Tundra = Lightning and frost, more elemental.
- Shadow = Summoning and nasty stuff.
Outlander:
- Warfare = All about guns and murder.
- Lore = Uses Glaives, a non-equippable weapon that homes targets.
- Sigil = Support and summon.
Simply put, each class has it's uses and effective areas.
I like how they feel so different. There's much more variety and branching in the skills themselves, really opening unique builds.
