Let's Virus Scan Darwinia Part 1: Persistence is key.
Yea. Tactic and all goes a way, but just sending lots of dudes helps too!
Anyway, Darwinia. 10 euros dollars, standard currency unit on Steam.
Pretty fun, though vague and I still feel like I play it wrong, DESPITE having beaten it once already!
The setup is simple. Kill viruses, capture buildings, control units.
Viruses can be killed with lasers, though many thougher ones require grenades, rockets or worse to really feel the pain. While lasers are easy to use, mastering grenades is VITAL to fighting larger and more dangerous foes.
Buildings come in several forms. Some make Darwinians, others teleport, some are just there as objective, doing nothing but triggering a next bit of code. You'll be seeing a lot of Incubators and Radar Dishes, I can assure that, as they're the foundation for progression, especially when Darwinians need to get behind control panels!
Units come in a few forms. Squads are fully player controlled. If deselected, they will go to the last assigned waypoint and slowly blast any enemies around. They will not use their grenades or other, making it hard for them to fight larger foes alone. Their upgrades increase units per squad and range for weapons.
Engineers collect souls and capture buildings, and are vital to strengthening and advancing your territory. Their upgrades increase carry ability.
Trunk ports unlock levels. Once opened, you can go there by leaving the current area. There are a few restrictions. Not every port is required, as some lead to optional bonus levels.
The story is pretty sad, but also amazing and cute in its own ways!
I suggest learning the hotkeys, as they'll make it a lot easier!
