2In this part, I hunt down three Giant Spiders, fight Mort and his band of adventurers again, and perform the final preparations necessary for the oncoming final boss encounter. That will be the sole focus of the next part.
One of the unfortunate things about the procedural generation is that it can potentially take a while before you meet the boss monsters. I first saw these giant spiders near the end of part 3. But, I have never seen them again until the beginning of this part. That amounts to at least two dozen runs through the Overgrown Caverns without seeing a boss monster. I guess I was unlucky, but it concerns me in regards to potential boss encounters at the Crub Reefs and Golden Palace.
