Here's a "quick" 39 minute look at the online browser-based multiplayer turn-based RPG, Paper Knight Quest, developed by Ferxzero.

It's basically a turn-based hero collector. So, if you played another title in this genre, you know mostly what to expect. Essentially the core gameplay loop is going on quests/dungeons, getting loot and experience for your heroes to purchase/upgrade better gear and level them up, summoning new and potentially better heroes (based on the number of stats they have) using seals, and enhancing heroes by sacrificing excess heroes. PVP and raids are also potential avenues of growth and loot at higher levels.

Of course, you are also limited by energy/stamina meters on how many quests/PVP/raids you can embark on, and these can be replenished over time or by purchasing refills in the cash shop.

The only real difference I can see with this game is that you can allocate stats, and purchase, upgrade, and slot universal skills into heroes. Of course, some stat distributions and skills will be better suited for particular heroes. And some skills are locked to certain heroes. Nonetheless, this adds more flexibility into building teams of four heroes.

Otherwise, I didn't really find this game to be appealing. The paper aesthetic I feel wasn't really utilized well enough, and the graphics are too simple. For me, two of the appeals of playing hero collectors are admiring the amazing artwork, and building a cohesive and optimized team. This game fails on the first front, but an argument can be made for the latter. I suppose this will be more appealing to others, and being browser-based will allow it to be playable on a multitude of devices.
