2In this part, I backtrack to town, purchase and apply some upgrades, and visit the Crub Reefs.
I would have gone to the Crub Reefs much earlier, if I hadn't taken the shortcut to the Golden Palace from the Underground Overgrown Caverns. Apparently, on a normal run, a player would go through all four areas before reaching the Core.
As for the tavern stat boosters, unfortunately, the Volcano Bakemeat doesn't have an infinite supply. I believe the Moss Malt does though. I suppose this was done to prevent players from easily getting crazy HP values.
