Let's Play Amnesia: The Bunker Ep.4 The Lair Of The Beast
15On the fourth episode of Let's Play Amnesia: The Bunker, we're heading into Maintenance after discovering a clue indicating we'd find Foreman Stafford there, whose locker contains the Wrench we need for opening grates. On the way, we stop by the lockers to open Laval's, which holds a Gas Mask that makes gas a more viable weapon for us to use. Maintenance is in pretty rough shape, perhaps from battles against the Beast. Parts of the ceiling have collapsed, there are holes everywhere, and the whole area is heavily infested with rats. In the Foreman's Quarters, we find Giraud, whose locker holds the extremely useful Lighter, allowing us to use fire against the rats and the Beast in a variety of ways. We also learn that Stafford himself headed to the Pillbox, located deeper into Maintenance. Using a torch to keep the rat packs at bay, we find the Bunker's Fuel Storage, where a massive tank of gas serves as an unlimited supply of gasoline-filled bottles for making Petrol Bombs or for fueling the generator (which I never realized). The Pillbox is locked, requiring a key from the Chaplain, and in the Chapel we discover the Beast has made it's nest and larder/art installation here. Once in the Pillbox, we get a tantalizing view of freedom that remains out of reach thanks to the Germans regularly firing at the viewport. Snagging Stafford's dog tag off his body, we make our way back to safety in order to grab the Wrench.
