Let's Play Angband (P1)
180Finally back to a more typical roguelike, and what a typical roguelike it is! This is probably the most "standard' roguelike you can find (other than the namesake of course). I'll try to spend a good amount of time on this one, as I have a feeling there's going to be a lot to explore.
Angband's been around for a good long time, dating back to 1990. It's exchanged quite a few hands as well (take a look at the beginning of the video to get an idea), so you can expect that the game has also evolved quite a bit since then. At the core there's still the hacking and slashing of a grandomized adventure, but we can also see some more modern improvements. More on those in later videos when I figure out how I'm going to show them in a fixed window size.

Dwarf warrior is doing pretty darn well so far, but that hasn't stopped me from nearly dying in a couple of spots anyway. Murder and mysteries abound! (Wait, that makes it sound like a detective game, never mind.)
