Let's Play Red Rogue (P1)
28Another requested roguelike, woo! This one seems like it has a lot more than I've seen so far, so we'll be at it for at least a couple more videos.
Red Rogue (created by st33d) is an action-paced roguelike that focuses more classically on elements such as equipment and subtle strategic know-how. You also get a pet skeleton! Thus far the gameplay would appear to be combat-oriented, along with some necessary identification and equipment management. There's plenty of crazy stuff that keeps the player asking for more, and hopefully it will continue to do so.
The atmosphere is real nice, too! Claustrophobic and paranoid works wonders on the psyche of a player not knowing what they're supposed to accomplish.
