Let's Play Beyond the Edge of Owlsgard #07: The Mole Mines
77Thanks to one very sensitive nose and the last of our coin, Finn has managed to find where the thing that took his family went to, the abandoned mole mines. While he's been told that the moles didn't much of value there, something tells me that that's not the reason why they left. A deep, dark mine is likely the last place that Finn wants to go to but his parents are down there and you want to be that he's not going to give up on them no matter what.
The game is generous enough to give you a big, BIG warning as to when you've entered a screen where you can perish. This is done before you put yourself in danger, allowing you the chance to save and thus avoid losing progress should you fail. While most people who do their best to avoid said peril, that's not how I play these games. No, we're going to seeing as many ways to blunder into doom as much as possible and while the start of point and click adventure games tend to spread said opportunities out, I know for a fact it's going to be a lot more common by the time we reach the end.
