Let's Play Buck Rogers Matrix Cubed 40 - But What About RAM's Lovely Parting Gift?
Recorded with BB Flashback Pro.
Game published 1992 by SSI (Never re-released on CD-ROM; presumed abandonware).
After that massive 2-wave battle our team (& its allies) just finished, one might hope for a clear path to our escape from the RAM prison on Mars . . . but one would be wrong. :(
While Buck Rogers & the Stormrider Natbakka cut the power to the prison force field, so that a NEO spaceship can land and evacuate all of the prisoners (including us), the RAM guards launch one last-ditch 2-pronged assault, with RAM assassin and RAM Assault Bots to lob grenades and plasma at us, too! After many do-overs (and reducing the difficulty level for this battle only), we eventually achieve victory by taking out the RAM Assassins first, then the robots, and then finally the RAM prison guards. Everyone heads out to the landing field (which, for the agoraphobic, looks a lot like the Envirocell we started out in here) and home to NEO's Salvation base. :)
Scot.dos (obviously very thankful that we rescued him from the data sharks) somehow has found out what was in that locked-tight data cell in the RAM prison computer - evidence of a spy at the NEO administrative center on the asteroid Fortuna. Our team is sent to Fortuna, ostensibly on a routine "annual review"-type inspection tour, lest we tip off the spy that NEO's on to him (or her). Sure hope the spy isn't hiding somewhere we don't have clearance to access yet!
