In this episode we venture beyond the Blackwall in search of Alt, but when we find her Netwatch begins to exploit Brigitte and the Voodoo Boys' connection, so Alt purges everyone except for us, killing them all. In the ensuing dialogue between us, Johnny, and Alt, we learn that Alt is not really the human woman Johnny lost anymore, but an AI construct. She agrees to help us anyway, striking a deal with us that if we can get her inside Mikoshi so that she can destroy it, she will help us by creating another relic of our engram, disentangle it from Johnny, and reinsert it into our body, simultaneously killing us and saving our life, with unknown consequences relating to our soul. We finally exit the subnet, awakening surrounded by the dead bodies of the Voodoo Boy's involved in our excursion. Realizing that they, understandably, will want us dead for getting Brigitte and co killed, we make our escape from the underground maglev train, but must defeat Placide in combat before we can finally get away. After, we suffer a severe relic malfunction, nearly killing us. Johnny somehow gets us to a deserted hotel, where he gives us his wartime dogtags and promises to give his life for ours, should it come to it, and asks us for a favor: to kill Adam Smasher, and to bring Rogue along when we do it. We agree to his terms, and agree to let him take over our body to persuade Rogue to come with us. After leaving the hotel, we get a call from Hanako, who wants to meet at Ember. Then we head to the Pacifica ripperdoc, where we upgrade our cyberware and cyberdeck, pushing our quickhack abilities to new heights. On the way to an assault in progress after leaving the ripperdoc's, we get a call from Judy, who plans to turn the dolls working at Clouds into weapons in order to help the Mox gain control of the establishment. Finally, we tackle a thievery side mission, where we steal a van from the Animals for Mr. Hands.
