Let's Play Dissolution of Eternity Remastered #04: Save, Save, Save
If there's one thing that let's playing has taught me over the many, many years I've been doing it - almost fourteen by the time of this video going up - it's that you can never have too many saves. Save early, save often and save in different slots is a mantra I try to live by for obvious reasons; saving early and often means you won't need to retread much ground if something goes wrong and saving in multiple slots minimises the issues that save corruption can cause. It also gives you more chances to be able to go back and do things you otherwise missed due to points of no return.
That said, if I'm too much fun with a game, I most certainly can forget to save. Some people suggest that I use autosaves instead and while they are faster, I remember to use them far less than I do normal saves. The act of saving manually is so deliberate that definite that my mind thinks on that more than it does pressing a quicksave button during play. I know it doesn't make much sense but I never claimed it did, such is the process of let's playing.
