Let's Play Divinity Original Sin 2 | Part 47: Let's Fight Scarecrows
This week’s thumbnail gives a little clue as to what horrors Matthew and Alice face - and no you’re right, it’s not an image of Alice rolling her eyes at Matthew doing Mark Heap impressions - it’s those pesky Undead Scarecrows that really messed us up last time. How do we fare this time? I suppose it’s time to find out in Let’s Play Divinity Original Sin 2!
Episode 47, blimey. Nearly at the big 50, nearly at the year mark. It’s a momentous occasion, and we’re finally approaching level 15. Is that good progress? Who knows. But it’s Rock Paper Shotgun’s progress. In this episode we finally do the last of the Meistr’s rituals in Powerful Awakening, ending the most important quest in the whole of Driftwood - and we managed to do it without giving up our morals, well… Alice’s morals. Forgetting about the whole “dropped a box on a dog” thing.
We also try to close of the quest with dear Eithne the hater of the Black Ring: ok, she’s really called Eithne The Trader. We try to give her a book, but we sell it to her, then realise the quest hasn’t closed, and then buy it back for an absolutely preposterous markup. What a nightmare. What’s the right book we need? We thought this was it. Please help, readers.
Finishing off Powerful Awakening and killing off those Undead Scarecrows means that we’re open for new places to go - and we finish off by finding Sahelia’s elven friends, and then eating the heart of one of their fallen comrades, which will be next week’s episode. We filmed three episodes in batches, so we won’t be able to ask you for advice on where to go next, or even take on any tips if we mess up in the next three episodes. Though, I’m sure we won’t mess up.
Episode 47, teetering on level 15, I don’t think you’ll want to use this video as a Divinity Original Sin 2 walkthrough, but you might pick up some Divinity Original Sin 2 tips and tricks as we play. Especially as we defeat those terrifying scarecrows and go up against a few Void Devourers and Void Flayers. They’re nasty versions of our good ol’ trusty beast. We love you beast.
Of course, thanks again to the regular viewers who make this Let's Play such a treat to put together. We wouldn't have made it this far without your advice and forgiveness. We hope you enjoy this video. If you'd like more fun, why not check out Matthew and Alice playing the new The Sims 4 Realm of Magic on a recent stream, or check in on the whole video gang playing random indie games for Reviews Roulette. Lots of fun with Astrid in those videos, too. Thanks for watching and hopefully see you soon.
