Well, it had to come eventually...THIS stage. This one was painful. I will admit it's certainly not the worst thing I've had to face in a video game, but it's up there. 6-K, Perilous Passage, ticks an awful lot of the boxes for "annoying video game level" (constantly having to outrun instant-kill lava, auto-scroll, enemies that force you to react immediately or memorize their positions, invincible enemies that home in on you...), and while it's at least mercifully short, it's still my most hated level of the game, and DKCR is already fairly challenging as it is. Heck, I had 5 deaths in the level that I didn't even show (during the "failure" cut) Though I guess like the rest of this game, this is something that I'm certainly able to handle much better than I did my first time or two through the game. We finish off the cliff area with the boss stage, 6-B: Thugly's Highrise, which pits us against what seems to be a significantly more dangerous relative of Mugly from the first area. He's one of the harder bosses for sure, but he's quite doable. His defeat marks the end of World 6 and the 3/4 mark of the game.
