The longer that I fight through the fourth floor, the more used I get to the enemies that I previously thought were rather difficult. The lack of ranged attacks and status effects they can inflict makes this level a lot easier then what's come and what will come in lower floors. Gargoyles are far less dangerous then I originally thought and the wererats were foes on the previous floor and haven't got any harder. We haven't met the tougher enemy for the floor yet, but surely it can't be much more difficult then what we've already faced.
What we haven't encountered much of yet are traps and puzzles. The most difficult thing we've had to do so far is backtrack for keys and find illusion walls, neither of which could be classed as puzzles. We've got spells to detect pits and I imagine the game could throw some devious switch puzzles at us or mazes that you use teleporters to navigate to name just a few possibilities. With eighteen floors in total, there's plenty of time for the dungeon to introduce a few easier puzzles and slowly ramp up the challenge along with the enemies getting tougher.
And then there's the underwater levels. Let's hope we don't run into one of them anytime soon, eh? Wishful thinking I know, but I can hope.
