6Already halfway through using them but may as well talk about the time traveling mechanic...
Hitting crystals will switch you between 3D and 8-bit graphics. The graphics really do not change anything but turn some trees into burnable saplings and lower some blocks that are in the way. Any sapling burn will not grow into a tree in the 3D world. That is about it.
We also go into a Diablo style setting. The combo you learn can be used in the Zelda section as well (though it is not useful at all).
The items you pick up in Diablo do NOTHING. It is all just poking fun at the loot that you pick up in such games. Unfortunately that seems to be trend in this game so far, introduce a gameplay mechanic in the most minimal ways possible and milk it for jokes.
