Purifying monsters has a chance of changing a monsters opinion of you. The better they see you, the more likely they will join you after you defeat them. If you have a given monster type already in your part, the more you have, the less effective your Purify will be.
Miracles happen when you cause the Dark Energy to flow in a complete circuit that is at least 15 spaces in long before purifying the gate. Unless the Energy is Light Blue (healing), you will also have to have a monster inside the circuit for a Miracle to happen. Miracles are summons that hit all monsters inside a circuit. These will give you alot of bonus exp for your items as well as bonus money for the Purifying a Dark Gate.
Furthermore, any Gates inside the circuit that created the Miracle will also be purified and will add further chain bonuses to your exp and money reward. These additional purifications can also cause Chain Miracles which will drastically increase your reward if you manage to set it up correctly.
