3We run into a thieves' hideout on our way to see Zalbag. We also learn that you cannot steal items from guests you are protecting for some reason. As if I needed more reasons to hate guests.
Due to Masaru's proficiency with breaking items using Battle Skills, I temporarily turned him into a thief and taught him Steal skills so we can pick up rare items in future battles. Also he can charm monsters and female npcs with Steal Heart. So he is still a Monk but his secondary skill is Steal.
As requested in previous comments, I grinded levels of Chemist and Priest offscreen for Tielle so she can use White Magic. Tielle is still a Marksman but with White Magic as a secondary, giving her ranged support abilities as well as a couple of new offensive options in battle.
