We pick up Umaro and slay a few more dragons. I try to get Gau but I am still an idiot.

Umaro is pretty straightforward and is vulnerable to fire. Tritoch is the same way but uses more magic attacks than physical (also vulnerable to fire).

Just make sure you bring Mog to talk to Umaro after the fight to get him to join. He is a berserker character who you cannot control. Pretty interesting but since he can't use Espers, you can easily get characters to be stronger and more reliable than him. Still fun to mess around with though.

I keep failing to pick up Gau because you need to have an open party slot when you go to the Veldt. I keep going with four people so thus I am an idiot.
