2Chapter 13: In Search of Truth. Eliwood and Hector have now arrived at the outskirts of Marquess Santaruz's castle. In order to get there though,they'll have to fight their way through more assassins lying in wait for them. You'll regain Serra abnd Matthew as units this chapter. I like to send Dorcas and Bartre over to the western village,they won't be of too much help with all the sword users here. Meeting Merlinus and getting the Torch from there is what will unlock the Gaiden chapter next stage,by the way. Have your main group advance south towards the Forts. The Village near there will give you a Mine. Be very careful to stay out of range of the Myrmidon called Guy. His Killing Edge is likely to kill most units if they're unlucky enough to run into him. If you can get Matthew to talk to him,he'll join your side. Soldiers and Archers appear as reinforcements from those southern forts after a while,so be careful. The Armory here sells Iron Swords,Javelins,Hand Axes,and Iron Bows. You could also buy a Heal Staff or 2 from the Shop. The Boss of this stage is called Boies,a Knight with a Steel lance. You don't have a Mage to deal with him at the moment,but Hector should be able to handle him with his Wolf Beil Axe. Inside the castle,they find the the Marquess dying. He tells them to meet with Marquess Laus before passing on.
