Let's Play Halfway - Ep. 1 - Distinguished Older Gentleman!
49The second I saw Halfway I fell in love with it. It reminds me of my days spent playing old games on my consoles such as Shining Force, Fire Emblem and even to an extent Final Fantasy: Tactics. The game play is a bit simplistic, but in a charming way and the story seems about what you'd expect. It has some funny moments though. Game devs seem to be drifting away from story driven games for the currently popular sandbox style of things. I like them both, but I grew up with stories and it's still my preference! So, what is Halfway? Well, simply put, Halfway is a turn-based squad-based strategy RPG set in the future. You control a small squad of survivors on a space ship that is overrun with aliens and weird nasty things. Now that I have gotten my hands on Halfway, I'm ready to go all the way! (to the end of the game that is....)
