Most of this playthrough will be blind (minus what I look up in the wiki). Labyrinth of Touhou 2 is a sequel to the previous game but is completely separate storywise. The game has improved in alot of areas while a few others still have problems from the first game or lack that final bit of polish to be fleshed out entirely. This first video will handle the introduction and talk about alot of new stuff in the game.

Reimu Hakurei (Flying Mysterious Shrine Maiden)

Yep, Reimu and Marisa are the main characters as always. Reimu is pretty much the same as she was in the previous game. She has ok Spirit based attacks but both are Composite types (meaning it is based on both Attack and Magic stats). She cannot cause minor paralysis anymore so her role is pretty much just support with her defensive buffs and group heal. Her passive skills are mostly support based as well with a few buffs against Youkai enemies and the ability to get buffs everytime someone else falls in battle.

Marisa Kirisame (Ordinary Black Magician)

Still the same Marisa minus one row based spell. She still has Master Spark as a finisher and Concentration as a self Magic buff. All her attacks are Mystic based but she does have Passives that help her pierce through resistances so she can still fight against things that have high Mystic Affinity. She also has a Synergy skill involving Alice which is a rather new thing to the game (Synergy skills revolve around having more themed parties such as SDM characters benefitting with being out with other SDM characters).

Rinnosuke Morichika (Unmoving Used Goods Seller)

A drastic change from the previous game. Rinnosuke no longer has the power over the elements or his fundoshi. Instead, he is a rather weak support character with weak skills. First Aid is a weak heal that does benefit from both Attack and Magic and can cleanse more status effects as it is leveled up. Battle Command is a single target weak All Stats Buff. Both spells are cheap MP wise and have relatively short delay. Rinnosuke's strengths are more from his passives which can give more money and drops from battles or debuff all enemies offense each turn. He can also be built to be somewhat tanky and has a skill that gives swapped in characters more ATB than just 7500, letting them have even faster turns.

Keine Kamishirasawa (Half Beast of Knowledge and History)

We actually start with a Plus Disk character this time. Keine has been fleshed out more since the last game. She has only two group buffs with one handling offense and the other defense. Both buffs are rather strong and get much stronger as they are leveled up (and even better if you go Enhancer sub class). Her two attack spells are All Area that scale with Magic but one actually targets Defense rather than Mind to add further versatility in the early game. Her passives involve buffs and buffing the party alon with an Experience boost for a full 12 person party. She also has a Synergy skill involving Mokou but it only buffs Keine's offense.
